In-house engineering expertise.
Working closely with our customers, Vogel technical drawing team produces a rough sketch of a product which can then later make its way in to full production. The engineering department understands the requirements of both the product and the production process. They translate the product requirements into tools and models ready for processing in our CAD software.
The tool builders ensure that the processes are clear so that products meet the technical specification, in line with the customer’s requirements. During the development process APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) tools, which originated in the automotive industry, are used to provide clear communication between everyone involved.
APQPis a framework of procedures and techniques to develop products and is very similar to DFSS (Design For Six Sigma).
One of the options for customisation is volume validation whereby results are recorded in a PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) package.
The PPAP confirms that the design requirements and any other special requirements have been understood.
“Our aim is to produce a product quality plan which will support development of a product that will satisfy the customer”
